GUNILLA® & LEROSETT® Plant-Based Organic Skin Care

What is the first ingredient in your skincare products? Is it water? Most skincare products contain mostly water, which can dry out your skin without benefits, yet they often cost as much as nourishing plant-based options.

Why Aloe Vera-Based Skincare is Superior: LEROSETT® Acne Products & GUNILLA® Anti-Aging Skincare has over 50% antioxidant-rich organic aloe vera with multiple adaptogenic botanicals. Using organic aloe vera as a base ingredient offers countless advantages. Firstly, at a higher percentage, aloe vera is a proven healing agent that reduces irritation, inflammation, and scarring. Additionally, organic aloe vera is a natural hydrator, providing moisture to the skin without drying. Lastly, its antioxidant-rich properties help fight bacteria and nourish the skin, making it a valuable addition to treating mild, hormonal, and cystic acne while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Both LEROSETT® & GUNILLA® products contain clinically proven ingredients from salicylic acid to peptides to ceramides and much more.

Daily Nutrient Control System for Optimum Plant Quality

Products like GUNILLA® for Anti-Aging & LEROSETT® for Acne & Problem Skin are better absorbed; they help skin heal faster with less skin sensitivity thanks to their organic aloe vera base.

GUNILLA® & LEROSETT® products contain over 60% nutrient-infused hydroponically grown organic aloe and are naturally therapeutic. Hydroponically grown aloe vera is rich in antioxidants, combats free radicals, and has potent youth-enhancing anti-inflammatory properties. Our nutrient-infused organic aloe allows active ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin while increasing collagen to help heal the skin.

Aloe can penetrate tissue – Unlike water, aloe can be absorbed by the skin. It is absorbed deep into the skin’s layers due to lignin, a substance similar to cellulose. When used as the main ingredient, this ability allows aloe to act as an excellent carrier for the other components of aloe vera and other botanicals and active ingredients.  The clinically proven effective ingredients in GUNILLA® products are even more effective within an organic aloe base instead of water.

Aloe has antimicrobial properties – The antimicrobial compounds in aloe include saponin, which has antiseptic properties, and barbaloin, which prevents the growth of Mycobacterium, bacteria famous for causing severe bacterial infections. A 1979 study by Heggers et al. showed that aloe in concentrations greater than 60% is lethal against various organisms. Bacteria is a leading cause of acne. -Aloe in concentrations greater than 60% is lethal against various organisms.

Aloe is anti-inflammatoryAloe contains natural salicylic acid, an anti-inflammatory beta-hydroxy acid, and a gentle exfoliant. It also includes sterols that inhibit acute inflammation, similar to cortisone but without side effects. Instead of water, GUNILLA® uses over 60% hydro-organic aloe vera as a base; this aloe alone is clinically shown to reduce swelling and inflammation by an average of 47%.

Aloe’s ability to heal damaged skin – Scientific research has shown that several components in aloe are responsible for the substance’s excellent ability to regenerate cells. These include gibberellin, a growth hormone-like substance that increases protein synthesis, and lectin, a protein that increases collagen activity and improves the collagen matrix. As a result, LEROSETT® & GUNILLA® products help heal and improve skin health.

GUNILLA® & LEROSETT® Skincare Products Based on Organic Aloe-Vera. Not Water.

Water can penetrate up to two layers of the skin, while hydro-organic aloe vera can make it up to seven layers into the skin, penetrating the skin four times faster than water.

Aloe makes LEROSETT® & GUNILLA® products more beneficial to the skin than water-based skincare. Over thirty years ago, we began using aloe as the medium to infuse our science-based active ingredients into the skin. We learned that the skin accepted active ingredients better when they were in a base of over 50% organic aloe than in a base of plain water, especially oils. Water is the most common ingredient in skincare, not because water brings anything to the skin, but because water is the cheapest ingredient.

The hydroponic method for growing plants, such as the Aloe used in LEROSETT® and GUNILLA® products, involves using a nutrient-rich liquid solution instead of soil. This method takes place in a controlled greenhouse environment.

In hydroponics, plants receive the right amount of nutrients directly at their roots, which means they don’t have to search for food in the soil. The water’s pH level and nutrient content can be easily checked and adjusted, ensuring that the plants always have enough nutrients. Unlike soil, which can attract pests, hydroponic growing mediums are free from harmful creatures. As a result, plants grow faster without needing herbicides or pesticides.

Aloe also has minerals that support skin health, including zinc. Zinc is essential for repairing damaged skin, speeding up the healing process, protecting the skin from toxins, and preventing scarring. A lack of zinc has been linked to acne, and several other minerals found in aloe also work as antioxidants.

Why use Hydroponics?
  1. Hydroponic plants are grown in water, not soil. Soil loses its nutrient value over time and can contain plant-damaging disease. The hydroponic method uses balanced plant food that dissolved directly into the oxygenated water. That way, the plant can receive perfect nutrition at all times.

  2. Re-filter the same water, it is not wasted in the soil, and the roots are always in water-absorbing more plant food and nutrients.
  3. More harvests in a greenhouse; the plants are more abundant and healthier.
  4. No herbicides or pesticides and there is no damaging water runoff.
  5. Soil is not able to produce the nutrient levels needed per sq. Foot, as the root system can take up in hydroponics.
  6. All GUNILLA™ products are based on a minimum of 60% of our hydroponically greenhouse-grown, handpicked, hand planted, nutrient-fed 100% organic aloe. More nutrients are infused into the plant yielding a more active ingredient, primarily when used as the main ingredient in skincare. You will notice a quality feel that products using water as the main cannot have. That’s another reason Gunilla of Sweden® is in a class all its own.
